Why Superfeet Shoes are Beneficial to Your Health...

Shoe shopping provides you with a virtually infinite range of possibilities in terms of style, color, and price. But what about the comfort factor of these shoes? Comfort is something that is particularly important when it comes to the shoes you wear at work, while exercising, playing sports, or any other physically demanding activities.

The average person takes somewhere between eight thousand and twelve thousand steps every single day. That adds up to an enormous amount of wear and tear on feet, especially for someone who wears uncomfortable shoes, or shoes that don’t fit properly. When you wear shoes that don’t properly cushion and support your feet, a wide variety of problems could occur. Some problems could include bunions, corns, blisters, and under-foot pain.

When you continue to wear shoes that don’t fit, it is not just your shoes that suffer. When your feet are constantly tired or aching, you might tend to feel generally fatigued and unwell, perhaps even a bit irritable.

That’s why it’s important to choose not only the right pair of shoes, but also the right pair of insoles. That’s where the Superfeet line comes in.

The Superfeet Insole Line

When you wear insoles that are too soft or don’t properly conform to the shape of your feet, it can be like running in loose, dry sand. It feels good at first, but the extra effort you have to expend means you grow tired more quickly and you will soon begin to feel the exhaustion in your ankles, knees, and back. Superfeet insoles are just the opposite, they are made from firm, supportive materials that help your feet achieve better balance and your body achieve better alignment, and they are very comfortable as well.

The precise contouring and firm support of the Superfeet line of insoles provides your feet, and your whole body for that matter, with a range of benefits. Insoles are like mattresses for the feet, and a good insole, like a good mattress, is made from firm, supportive, and comfortable materials that cushion your feet in style. Superfeet insoles provide support that improves your balance and promotes correct alignment.

When your feet are properly balanced and aligned with insoles and footwear that are the right fit and provide the correct amount of support, you can really feel the difference. Your body’s weight is better balanced. The correct balance of your weight removes stress from your muscles and joints; reduces pain and reduces the possibility of future joint problems.

Choose the Right Superfeet Insoles to Ease Common Foot Ailments

There are several different types of Superfeet insoles to choose from, but don’t worry, it’s not as difficult as you might think to choose the perfect insole. The three factors to consider when choosing Superfeet products are your foot type, the type of shoes for which you will be using the insoles, and the activity for which the shoes are designed.

• Foot Types

There are three basic foot types. First, there’s the "neutral" foot, which is a well-defined shape that functions normally without any extra support. Only around 10-15% of the population has this foot type. Even though no biomechanical support is needed, people with this foot type can still benefit from the shock-absorbing qualities of Superfeet insoles.

The other two foot types are pronated and supinated. These two types of feet can particularly benefit from Superfeet insoles. Pronated feet have a tendency towards flatter arches and elongated feet, which may result in blisters, bunions, or warts, as well as pain in the knees, hips, and back. People with supinated feet are often more likely to experience frequent ankle sprains, tendonitis, or ligament problems. If your feet fall into either of these categories, choosing a Superfeet Premium Insole might be able to help correct the problems you are having.

• Shoe Types

Because most types of athletic footwear come already equipped with removable insoles, it is very easy to replace your current insoles with a Superfeet insole.

Some casual and formal footwear styles don’t come with a removable insole. Superfeet can still help you out with low-profile trimmable insoles. These are thinner than the standard line insoles.

• Activities

Superfeet insoles come in a range of shapes (and trimmable varieties) to suit the footwear and the activities designed for that footwear. For runners and walkers there are insoles designed to provide extra shock absorption. For those who are involved in other athletic activity, there are specially-designed insoles which provide a tighter fit that is ideal for the stop-and-start motions common on the athletic fields or courts.

The Superfeet Guarantee

Superfeet offers a sixty day comfort guarantee, so you really have nothing to lose, except tired, aching feet! If your Superfeet insoles don’t provide the results you were expecting, you can return them to the place of purchase within sixty days for a full refund or credit (subject to the return policy of the retailer where you bought the product). That’s the Superfeet guarantee!

Running Shoes: The Secret is in the Arch...

When buying running shoes to maximize your workout and prevent injuries, arch support is the first order of priority. Each person has a unique foot type, just like a fingerprint. This type is defined by the shape of the main arch on the foot, along with the extent of pronation, or inward rolling of the foot upon impact with the ground. The best way to prevent fatigue and hyperextension, then, is to relieve some of the pressure supported by the main arch of the foot.

Pronation is the extent to which the main arch on the inside of the foot, while in stride, collapses inward upon impact. The best way to measure it is by seeing how worn the bottoms of the shoes are along the inner and outer curves. A neutral stride means that the arch collapses just enough for proper flexibility of the foot. Running shoes are much less of a hassle to choose once the buyer notices a neutral stride. However, there are many shoes that solve the problems of overpronation and underpronation of the arch.

Overpronation is the complete collapse of the arch, and thus a complete rolling of the foot inward upon impact. This can cause hyperextension in the ligaments and tendons of the foot. Running shoes with high arch support solve this problem by limiting the arch collapse. Underpronation is the lack of sufficient collapse, which can lead to fatigue of the arch and pain in the hip or lateral side of the knee. Those who underpronate need neutral-cushioned shoes with little arch support to allow for the natural pronation motion.

It may seem intuitive that underpronation goes "hand in hand" with high arches, but this is not always the case. Those with high arches can experience underpronation, a neutral stride, or even overpronation. Similarly, those with low or medium arches can also experience any of the three movements. Many people purchase running shoes by finding out their arch type through the "wet test." This popular but faulty test tells only part of the story. It shows the wet imprint on paper of the bottom of the foot when not in motion. Since the shape of the arch doesn't indicate the extent of pronation, the "wet test" cannot determine foot type. Also, the test doesn't take into account bone structure of the leg, which can affect pronation.

The extent of pronation is not necessarily the cause of all running-related injuries. Running shoes with little cushioning don't absorb the shock of each impact, and thus transfer the pressure to the arch. To prevent damage to the arch, shoes can be complemented with "insoles," which absorb some of the shock. Insoles are not to be confused with external arch supports, a plastic shell that can be inserted in a shoe to restore foot structure and position during stride.

When looking for running shoes, one must know their own foot type, composed of the shape of the arch and extent of pronation. It is important to remember that pronation and arch shape are independent of each other, and that a shoe's arch support affects the extent of pronation. Overpronation and underpronation can cause many injuries in the foot, but the arch can also suffer damage from a lack of shock absorption. The best way to choose running shoes is to know what your feet need to prevent injuries while still ensuring the maximum workout...

Health Benefits of the Negative Heel Technology in Earth Shoes...

Earth Shoes is a shoe company that was started by the Kalso family in Minneapolis, Minnesota, back in the early seventies. Earth Shoes was established at a time when the company was designing and manufacturing for other well-known brands. After an absence of many years from the market it was recently re-launched and the famous “3.7 degrees” is back with a bang.

Since its return to the market, the company has expanded considerably, and these days you’ll find Earth Shoes just about anywhere on the planet. The only thing different from the original “hippy-style” shoe is that a whole new range of footwear was designed and made available to suit changing times and trends.

To keep up with increasing demand, the owners employ many manufacturing companies to do the work. One of the main and most probably the largest factory outlets is in mainland China. Regular contact and communication with these companies ensures that the final product has the quality and style that Earth Shoes is renowned for.

What is “Negative Heel Technology” all about?

“Negative Heel Technology” is basically about the angle at which the front part of the foot is higher than that of the heels. To be precise, it is exactly 3.7 degrees higher. When the shoe was designed, Anne Kalso was not only focusing on comfort and style but on improving the posture as well while the shoe is worn. Bearing in mind that she was at the time also a Yoga instructor, it is not difficult to deduce where the idea came from! Holding the correct posture is of primary importance for the Yoga instructor. Once it is in place and is held there it is not long before an improved noticeable difference is detected in bodily functions. Her idea to incorporate a yoga position into a shoe design has certainly paid off. Well being, health and comfort for her fellow human beings are the primary concerns for this remarkable woman, and she has achieved her aims with great success.

The design of the Earth Shoe allows the heel to dig back while the front is lifted and relaxed. The toes are also comfortably spread. The spine automatically straightens and the stomach muscles pull tight; breathing improves as the head is held straight and the shoulders roll back. Headaches start to decrease and slouching also becomes a thing of the past. Thus it eliminates back pain or any prospects of it. Walking at that angle is similar to walking in thick sand. The calves and thighs get a gentle workout as well. This greatly improves the prospects of ending up with a shapely pair of legs. A better functioning body definitely has a positive effect on the mind as well.

For some people slipping into a pair of Earth shoes will pose no problem. However those that are accustomed to high heels might find it a bit difficult at first to get used to the feet being in the opposite angle. This however depends entirely upon the individual. Exercises usually do the trick otherwise professional medical advice is recommended for those with problem or deformed feet.

The designers of Earth Shoes make use of various professionals, including a podiatrist, chiropractor and biomechanics specialist, to create the ultimate shoe for comfort, health and style. The 3.7 degree negative heel technology is applied to every single pair of Earth Shoes made.

New technology has made some types of Earth Shoes even better, with a special type of gel, called Gelron 2000, placed in the entire foot bed of the shoe. To complement it all, the design also includes arch support in all the right places. This makes it the ideal shoe for pregnant women or anyone who is carrying some extra weight and would prefer a more supportive shoe.

The gel allows the foot to mold into a perfect fit and this lends added comfort. With the gel creating a gentle massage effect the result is that tired, aching feet become a thing of the past. Those who are constantly on their feet for long hours will find this an incredible blessing as the tiredness will be drastically reduced.

Where can you find them?

Earth Shoes has designed shoes that are appropriate for all types of physical activities and exercises. They are hardwearing and relatively cheaper than other similar designer claims. The range of styles also seems to be more diverse as well as very up to date and attractive.

There are many stores that stock Earth Shoes and are therefore quite easy to obtain in the United States. Because of its increasing popularity worldwide it has become available almost everywhere. If there are any difficulties found in obtaining a pair they can always be ordered online.

<h1 class="subject">What type of leather shoes for mcdonalds?</h1>

Hi

I've recently been employed by mcdonalds and haven't been to orientation yet. Just like to know what type of leather shoes would they be expecting?

Would the leather shoes I wear to go to high school (in Australia) be fine or do I need those leather shoes we use in school formals etc?

Thanks.

No, the shoes that you wear to school will not work. the floors at the store are very slippery once they get wet or oil gets spilled. Go to a walmart and go to the shoe section, they carry non skid black shoes that are made for the food industry, they only cost about 25 dollars and they will save you the hassle from slipping and sliding everywhere

you need a very comfortable shoe with a non-slip sole.

if you don't have a store locally in Australia try this site:

http://www.shoesforcrews.com they have numerous styles and price ranges and the shoes are made for the food service industry.

if you use shoes for crews click on the "US location" link to get information about shipping to Australia.

What you need is a shoe with NON -SKID SOLES .

Fast food restaurants use a tile and cleaners that leave these floors very slick ..compounded with daily food spills of grease , salad dressings etc., these can be treacherous. Always use caution ..blot up greasy spills THEN mop up spills immediately ( don't just mop the spill as it will spread the grease around ... don't run in the kichen or fool around .

Like most restaurants, McDonalds should have a catalog of work shoes you can order from to get non slip shoes. It is very important that you obtain some no slip type of rubber sole shoes. Most places have tile floors that get slick as ice when wet.

Make sure they dont have a heel

Theyre usually quite lenaint on shoes.

Make sure theyre black and leather and youlll be fine

Basically any slip-resistant soles on a shoe.

lol macy d

Um normal shoes most likely

Did you know they do mac' a levels now lol

......

its mcdonalds. if you wore just tennis it would be fine.

<h1 class="subject">What color shoes is best to wear with an ivory wedding dress?</h1>

My dress is ivory and tea length. I found some white shoes that fit me perfect and inexpensive. I am wondering how noticeable it will be that the dress and shoes are not the same color. I am not the most fashionale of women but we all know that the bride is the one that is the center of attention. It is a fall wedding if that makes any difference. I am not worried about the 'no white after Labor day thing'. Thanks in advance for your viewpoint.

Ivory dress = ivory shoes. no wavering from that. don't wear white with ivory....... ♥

I have to agree that ivory shoes are the only way to go. I found a pair of cloth dye-able shoes, and first wore them as white, then a year later had them dyed ivory for a different occasion, then I needed a peach pair so i had them dyed again, and finally they became green when i needed a green pair! So even if you spend a little more for the ivory shoes, you can get some mileage out of them if you buy comfortable ones that won't go out of style.

Congratulations, too!

i think if you like the white shoes you should go with them... unless there's some really shallow guests there, no one will notice your shoes (and if they do, they probably won't care)

if you were going to some other affair, sure, maybe wear something different... but a wedding? it'll be fine... you're a bride! you can wear whatever you want! (you'll probably want something comfortable, whatever the colour)

if you're still self concious... maybe go with some champagne coloured shoes, or find some that match your dress exactly, you know? or maybe a very lgiht pink...

but i'm sure whatever you choose will look wonderful =]

NO, you cannot cannot CANNOT wear white shoes with an ivory dress. People WILL notice. Try to find shoes that are off-white/ivory. If you like the ones that you found, you could always get them a little dirty, then they'll look ivory-hahah.

If not, wear either silver or gold shoes-whatever color your jewelry is, if any.

What color are you accessories??? I would wear Ivory shoes with silver or rhinestone accessories. Not white. Even if the shoes are beautiful...they'll look extremely tacky against your ivory dress or make your dress look dirty in comparison to the shoes.

white shoes dont go well with ivory ...so maybe you could try to find some gold shoes instead or silver

good luck and congrats!

Not white. Wear ivory or gold.

Silver or Gold.

I think it would definitley be noticeable that the dress and shoes do not match and I would recommend looking for a pair that match more closely. If you love the white shoes, you could always try to hide part of the shoe so it's not as noticeable. Maybe a set of broaches pinned to the toe of the shoe, or flower buds that match your bouquet pinned to your shoe.

<h1 class="subject">How do you remove shoe sole marks from shoes?</h1>

I have a pair of tan synthetic, imitation leather shoes and they have black marks from the rubber sole of another shoe on them. Ive tried everything i can think of to get it off but it wont budge! Any ideas?

Use an art eraser ("white" eraser) and gently erase the marks away.

If this doesn't work, try rubbing with toothpaste and a clean cloth.

If the above two fail, you can use rubbing alcohol on the stain.

maybe try that MAGIC ERASER by Mr. Clean that you can get at a drugstore or supermarket.

supposedly it removes just about any mark .... "EVEN PERMANENT MARKERS" from almost any surface!

Try asking in the cleaning and laundry sec for better professional answers.

a normal pink eraser (clean). I know it works on leather shoes (like timberland boots)..but I don't know about synthetic imitation leather. I think it should..

<h1 class="subject">How long until new shoes at Target are marked down for clearance?</h1>

I saw some great-looking shoes at Target, but I don't want to pay $40 right now for what I know is a rather low-quality pair of shoes. How much time do Target shoes stay at "new" prices before they're marked down for clearance sales?

If they aren't clearance already, they probably won't be going clearance. The department re-sets in a couple weeks. Everything that will go clearance, already is clearance.

<h1 class="subject">How to wash sports shoes and canvas shoes at home without damaging them?</h1>

I want to know some safe and effective methods that does not ruin my shoes and the shoes become as good as new again.

you can try to use dryel and use an extremely gentle cycle. or, you can wash them with sheets that color and put them inside a pillow case or wrap them in sheets. that's what my mom used to do with my stuffed animals that i slept with every night.

use a very low temperature, talking from personal experience...once i ruined a friend's very expensive trainers!!!lol

<h1 class="subject">What are the best running running shoes on the market?</h1>

I need a shoe shop in leeds town centre that sells the shoes as well. I've heard about the 7.0 system with the kswiss shoes and that sounds good so shoes that are as good as those would be the best. thanx.

Whichever shoe is fitted properly for your foot type and running gait is the best shoe on the market FOR YOU.

Just because Brooks Trance works well for me, doesn't mean it'll work well for you. In fact...my shoes could cause you to get injured.

So rather than asking what type of shoe is best for you to random folks on the internet, get into a specialty running store and have them fit you for the right running shoe for your body type.

Asics Kayanos are very good shoes. Ive worked at footlocker for a while and these shoes have always got the best reviews from customers. They have a custom fitting system in them that makes it the most custom fit to your foot without having shoes made for you. You cant go wrong with them. You should also get a pair of insoles to go with them.lol inside joke. but the insoles will help allot if you have the right type of foot.

The best shoe is the one that fits your foot best. I just tried on the most expensive and "best" Asics shoe last weekend, but it had a narrow toe box and I could tell it would rub and cause blisters. After a few shoes I really liked the Nike Vomero 3, but that is my opinion. It just happens to work well for me. Best thing is to try on different shoes and run around a little.

asics and mizunos are two great brands for running shoes, they are relatively inexpensive and have really good stability and support. you just have to figure out what kind of pronation your feet have and choose shoes accordingly.

The Asics Nimbus are very good running shoes

Asics gel fusion or gel nimbus.

Asics are always top in Mens Health magazine.

I like Brooks.

<h1 class="subject">What color shoes are best for a winter formal?</h1>

What color shoe is most popular for a winter formal? It is a strappy high heel sandal. It comes in black, silver, or light gold (not a true gold, very light). I want to buy the shoes then buy my dress. I like the metallics. Can silver or the light gld go with a lot of other colors? Are they youthful? I don't want to look like a granny.

Gotta go with the standard answer here:

Black, patent leather, high heeled pumps.

Universal, classic, timeless, goes with everything.

Every girl should have a pair.

Black, patent leather, high heeled pumps. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20060906093754AAQzqEo&kid=NrV2B0vUCEvhyp7f5LZF&s=comm&date=2008-11-03+11%3A26%3A36&.crumb=

you should go with the silver, that color will go with the most largest range of different clothes out of the 3 colors. Don't worry about what other people think about the shoe, I'm sure if you liked it then some one else your age will too.

you should always match your shoes to the colour of your outfit

white and silver are wonderful winter colors

I'd go with the silver or gold. If you get black shoes, and then decide on a pastel or white dress, they aren't going to look right. With the silver or gold, pretty much any color dress you pick will look good. Have a great time at your formal?

I say stick with the silver, it will go with more colors than the gold.

Silver shoes look best with cool colors like blues, greens, lavender. Gold toned shoes go best with warm colors like reds, browns, oranges. Metallics are in style for the fall and I'm sure through winter. You'll only look like a granny if you choose chunky low heels.

<h1 class="subject">What color shoes do you wear with a gray skirt with thin white and blue pinstripes?</h1>

I typically wear a white or blue shirt with the skirt, but I feel like black shoes look odd. I also want to continue to wear the skirt this winter and wear tights with boots. What color shoes are OK? Is black actually oK?

white or blue..

If you have them, then you should wear blue shoes! They would look really cool and add a punch of color. Black shoes wouldn't look too great though.

What kind of skirt is it? Pencil cut, A-line, mini? Black is always ok. If you're feeling bold, why not red and pair the skirt with a white long sleeved shirt? Classic and sexy at the same time. Solid colored shoes work with the skirt.

If you don't want to buy a lot of shoes, buy shoes that are the color of your skin. They will look good with anything & become a true netural. And they will make your legs look longer.

I would definitely match the shoes with the blue in the skirt! It sounds like the blue in the skirt is barely noticeable and the blue shoes will make the whole outfit pop without making the color overwhelming! Black is fine, but it wouldn't look nearly as good.

i would say blue shoes, white or black would look odd.♥

Tan.

I would say were white flats with blue jewlery or the other way around. That would complete the outfit in every way =]

I would say white shoes or gray shoes.

Black shoes would look good if you had dark hair though.

:D

yep, but i would wear blue shoes to match one of the strips.

<h1 class="subject">What shoes for guys can you wear to work if you work for abercrombie?</h1>

I just got a job at abercrombie and they said skating shoes are inappropriate... What shoes are allowed?

You can wear the plain white Converse shoes, otherwise you must wear Abercrombie Flip Flops, you can just bring them in a bag and change your shoes to flip flops while working in the store...most people do that and change back to your shoes when your shift is over.

Good Luck with the job!

Well, I Would Imagine Converse, Vans Or Plimsolls.

<h1 class="subject">What shoes do you recommend for those with plantar fasciitis?</h1>

I just donated over 23 pairs of shoes. I used to LOVE shoes, so this has been a disappointing blow. Do they make any cute, cushiony white sandals anywhere?

if it is support and comfort u are looking for..i say

go with NIKE AIR

They are awesome~

Birkenstock high arch shoes or sandals help a lot. Make sure it's from the high arch line though, not the regular Birks.

I have also recently discovered how much MBT shoes help - - that is, the rocker bottom seems to change the biomechanics of the foot and help with the pain.

Lastly, you definitely need to look into getting orthotics. Soft, cushiony sandals may not cut it until you have addressed the actual cause of your PF.

Arch supports are the key. Also there are some foot exercises that you can do to help. Get a couple of different size small balls. Marbles are perfect. When you are just hanging out watching TV or something, pick up the marbles using your toes. Alternate sizes of marble. This will strengthen the arches and help alleviate the pain. It works.

It's not so much the shoe, as the arch support. Get a good firm arch support like Spenco or Dr Scholl's. If that doesn't help, you may need to get a custom-made orthotic or a steroid injection into the heel spur.

I suggest shoes with good arch support or what makes your feet

comfortable. If you have shoes that don't have arch than buy

arch soles to help your feet.

<h1 class="subject">How can I organize my shoes outside of my closet?</h1>

I have over 100 pairs of shoes and I don't know where to store them. Most of them are in the original boxes, some are in a basket, and the rest are in a storage box in my closet. I don't have room to store them in my closet because it is jam packed with my clothes, purses, etc. I don't know what to do. I just got rid of a lot of them and I don't want to hang 100 pairs of shoes in those shoe hangers. I really don't know how to keep my shoes neat, accessible, and organized. Any suggestions?

If you refuse to use the hangers, there is little choice left but to purchase organizer units which would have to be instaled over the shelf in your closet, and which you would need a ladder included to be able to reach them. How about a roll out shelf under your bed. Is that space available. Could be made out of a sheet of plywood, with casters mounted underneath that you could roll out to gain access to the shoes. There are only so many ways to store things and the hangers, which take up dead space behind doors are probably the most effieicnt and practical

Try these closet fetish shoe boxes. They come in great colors and make your shoes look uniform but you can see what's in the boxes. I saw them on the Denise Richards show and they looked really cool. You can buy them at HSN.com or go to closetfetish.com to check them out.

Under the bed boxes?

We are going to a lake theme park. There are several wet and dry rides and I don't want blisters from my shoes (from walking in wet shoes) but I don't want to lose my shoes either (on a rollar coaster). So what do you suggest?

the aqua shoes that u could even wear in the shower, they r not too bad to wear and u wont run around in soppy feet all day

Sandals

http://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/product.asp?s%5Fid=0&pf%5Fid=PAAAAAACLCLDAJOD

flip flops or if you have them, crocs are great for stuff like that

wear combat boots.

strap on sandals. Like the teva ones. They are comfortable too.

i go in a nice comfortable pair of sandals myself

Teva sandals.

Tennis shoes, sneakers.

cheap flip flops work great

I've worn Teva sandals for anything involving water for two decades, almost. They are great for everywhere outside...but not for dress events.

hmm

Wear flip-flops... not cheap. Some flip flops break when they get wet because you walk in them and it pushes your foot forward (slippery)... get a normal pair of flip flops - not from the dollar store.

PS - Take your shoes off when you get on a roller coaster

5 inches heels.

wear yur tims

SANDALS STUPID!!

PLASTIC FLIP-FLOPS

<h1 class="subject">What are the best shoes to wear in a pharmacy?</h1>

I work in a pharmacy and am standing for 8 hours a day. My feet are starting to hurt really badly and I am having back problems and I'm convinced that it's because of the shoes I'm wearing. What I need are some shoes that are black, not necessarily dress shoes, that will be comfortable. I'm male and wear size 13 shoes, so keep that in mind when making suggestions.

Well, what shoes is comfortable to you? You can feel it so do it!

Crocs. You know, the funny looking shoes with holes in them.

They are amazingly light airy and comfy.

They're a unisex shoe, and made in almost every size imaginable.

You can buy a "generic" brand of crocs at wal-mart.

Plus, they come in tons of colors.

There are orthopedic shoes that are supposed to be the most comforatable. They are kind of funny looking, depending on the brand you get, but if they're just black and you're behind a counter all day, it probably doesn't matter

Just google "orthopedic shoes" and see if any of them look good.

<h1 class="subject">What color shoes should the bridesmaids wear?</h1>

My sister is getting married Feb.17th and us bridesmaids can't decide on what color shoes to wear with our dress! The dress is a mid calf satin red strapless dress. Its a simple dress with just a tiny bow at the waist (kind of on the side) in the same color fabric.... I have even seen it called a 50's a-line dress. We really don't want to do the whole dyed to match shoes but the bride's only request is that we all wear the same shoes (with the dress being shorter). Any suggestions?

I would go with silver or black and find something else that will compliment whatever color they are. Silver shoes, silver earing, silver hairclips, nails...Black shoes , black purse...or maybe just add a ribbon of that color around your boquets. Silver and black should be easy to find and come in a variety of styles, sizes, and prices which also may be important since being a bridesmaid can sometimes also be expensive. Just remember what's most important is what the bride likes whether you do or not. While I'm sure she'll want all of you to look beautiful her tastes may not be the same as yours. Hope this helps and you have lots of fun

You girls should wear white sandals, covered toes and heels, and high heels. That would look so cute.

I would go with Silver Strappy Sandals

How about tasteful gold shoes. I think red would look best though

The bridesmaids should wear shoes white or black shoes. Is a nice color and she can wear them again in the future.

it depends on the theme if your having a tropical wedding neutral or light girly colors i recommend torques

I would go for a simple black shoe. Since it will still be considered Winter...black would be in style. Black works well with red and just about any accessories.

Have them go barefoot get them ready to be barefoot and pregnant

i would go with cream or off-white shoes

my first gut instinct would be black..especially since dress is not floor length. You could also do metallic, gold or silver depending on what the other colors are for the wedding. As far as style, if indoors, I would do a nice strappy sandal. Since it is near valentine's day, I always see that motif with red, black, gold, silver. white and cream would be a bit too jarring. And likely the first thing you would see when you look at the bridesmaids. Red is a very tricky color to have dyed to match shoes done. I tried taht for my brother's wedding and they wear not dark enough and looked more fuschia than dark red.

Where it is a winter wedding, and you don't wish to wear shoes that match the dress, I'd suggest that you all wear black shoes, with the possible addition of a matching small red bow.

Hmm well you could go for a white cream or black but all of those are a bit overdone.

So if you want a unique and classy look I'd go with a gold colored shoe. Or if silver better fits the theme of the wedding go with that.

Just make sure that the shoes don't outshine the bride. Keep them clean and simple. And try to avoid sparkle or rinestones.

Best of luck!

And best wishes to your sister!

:D

I would go for black shoes with a small heel. if you are going to be wearing jewelry go for a color that best matches it. If you are going to wear black, maybe go for a black necklace. Also, if you are wearing anything in your hair you can try and coordinate that.

<h1 class="subject">What white shoes have an orange sole wrap around to the top?</h1>

I saw a pair of shoes on TV the other day that were mostly white, but the most distinctive feature on them was that the sole of the shoe wrapped around the outside corner. The soles were orange and had bumps on them, and I don't know if they are Puma, Adidas, Lacoste, Desiel, Nike, Skechers , or what. Also if you knew the name of the shoe or could post a link to a site that has them it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Will I buy them and have no shoes. It's at Express so it ain't cheap. I can't find any photos on the internet of this pant leg with shoes- help!

<h1 class="subject">What kind of shoes should I buy to go to clubs in Europe?</h1>

I do a lot of traveling, and I'd like to find a nice pair of shoes to buy to wear to clubs in Europe and maybe South America. A lot of clubs have no tennis shoes/sneakers policies.

One thing I really lack in my wardrobe are shoes.

What are some nice shoes that go good with a pair of jeans?

I'll be in Europe, and they are a little more stylish than the USA. Something timeless and classic would be nice.

Thanks in advance!

<h1 class="subject">Taking your shoes off in the house - Should others respect your house rule?</h1>

The majority of people who I visit or visit us automatically take their shoes off when entering the house. I have one relative who refuses to do it when she visits. Do you think we are unfair to ask her to take her shoes off. She makes areall fuss everytime and rain or shine wears shoes in our house!. My thoughts are that shoes are for outside!.

Same rule in my home- They should respect your wishes- They would expect the same if it were a rule in their home. Just let her know that this is how you would like your space to be respected.

I think that people should respec the rules of the house ... some people like to keep their carpets clean & some people really dont like feet! of corse there are exceptions .. im sure there are some foot conditions which require the wearing of shoes ..but try asking her very gently & politely ...its certainly not unfair to ask tht of her!

I hate when people do that sh.t Maybe she has really, really bad athlete's foot. Floors are made for walking on, and that is really what you should consider when picking out a floor, rugs, or carpet.

as a smoker,i dont like family /friends smoking in my house they can smoke by the back doors but not in my house.so yes follow the rules.

Absolutley! - She should respect your house rules.

Maybe it would help if you bought some slippers, and when she comes you can offer her them to wear around the house.

This is a common practice in places like Japan and Russia where it is the norm to take dirty shoes off before entering a house and changing them for "house shoes" to stop your socks getting worn out or dirty.

Hope it helps

how disrespectful i would'nt allow that relative in your house

Maybe you should take a clue from the Japanese culture. They provide slippers at the door for you to wear while inside....

Darn tootin right. Your house, your rules.

Get her a cute (tacky?) pair of slip on house shoes, with the fluffy feathers across the toe, no heel, her favorite! color. Proudly present them to her, "for her comfort" of course, we Loooove you. Remember to remove tongue from cheek, before biting down.

Buy her a pair of slippers let her try them on and then ask her to leave them on

when she leaves ask her for the slippers and tell her their her for your next viest, she now knows what the slippers are for HER on her next time around just gve them to her.

I know what you are saying I don't wear shoes in the house and I always take my shoes off when visiting other peoples houses but my mother-in-law never takes her shoes off and it really pees me off cos I always take my shoes off when I go in her house...Its a lack of respect for other peoples property!

No, I've got a sister-in-law like you.

I suppose if it is your house you should make the rules but you should also consider the reasons others may have to be reluctant to follow them. For instance, I will not visit someone who makes that particular rule because I have very sweaty feet and worry about leaving damp footprints across the floor!!!

How would you feel if someone you wanted to visit required everyone to remove other items of clothing, say their shirts and blouses? It would certainly be within their right to create such a rule but would likely cut down dramatically on the amount of company they would have.

I think if it is your house, then you make the rules. Especially if you have kids and are trying to set an example, you can't have one rule for one and one for another.

Just ask politely remove them, maybe have some slippers on hand to offer?

I would not dream of asking anyone to remove their shoes when visiting our house. I think it is the height of rudeness and frankly pathetic. Carpets and hard surfaced flooring can easily be cleaned these days so just what is the problem?

your house your rules. (according to my parents). If she won't take them off don't let her in.

She will have a problem if she visited Sweden, Japan, China, Singapore, etc., where no one wears shoes inside the house because you never know where shoes have been. Your relative may have a problem with her feet, e.g. smelly, bunions, ingrowing toenails, fungal infection, etc., that may be a source of embarrassment to her. Since women tend not to wear socks, her feet will be exposed. One of my friends provide guests with indoor slippers. But this might make her feel she is being singled out unless you do it with great tact and a lot of light touch.

I agree with louloube. But, there are those people who refuse to obey rules (control freaks.). These people hate to buckle up their seat belt, etc. They take every rule personally, and as an attack on their freedom. Buy her a pair of slippers, and figure out a jovial way to keep her at the door, while she puts the slippers on.

Shoes are for the outside, but there are exceptions. Handicapped individuals, those with special shoes, etc. Don't make this a "I am right and you are wrong" issue. Just look at it from a different angle. It isn't about you; it is about her "rights". Talking about why she feels that taking her shoes off is an insult to her might get a good conversation going. There is a compromise; it just has to be found. And just think what a wonderful skill you will have learned for life.

I think it's only fair and respectful that people should obey your rules.

how do you wash your shoes in the washer?

Typically washing shoes is not a great idea. The only shoes that are considered semi safe to wash in a machine are tennis shoesor sneakers. Even then you have to be careful. When washing tennis shoes there isn't really anything special you have to do. Remove the laces apply bleach if needed, spray or those bleach pens, and put them in the washer on cold. Afterwards let them air dry. Otherwise, many stores sell special products for cleaning other types of shoes.

You should just wash them with a baby wipe, or saop and water on a paper towel. OR you can put them is a thin, padded cloth and then in the washer, or you can wash them with your other clothes. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20070420162546AAvqZRn&kid=IIBpPWT7G0l9yQopnOs.&s=comm&date=2008-08-16+14%3A59%3A23&.crumb=

You shouldn't put your shoes in the washer. Use a magic eraser on the shoe, and put the laces in some nylons, tye a knot and run them through the washer. Also shoes stores sell special products to clean shoes.

Depending on if they're like gym shoes you could wash them in the washing machine on cold with detergent

Alternatives to Wearing Women's Wide Shoes

If your feet feel cramped and painful, there's no question that you may benefit from wearing women's broad shoes. At the same time, you are likely to find that ladies footwear could be expensive. Without a question, if you can barely afford the cost of regular shoes when they are on sale, better fitting shoes may be well outside of your budget. That said, if you look around your local department store, you may be able to find many suitable alternatives.

Unless you specifically need to wear a woman's dress shoe, it may be of a little of help to look in the men's department. Among other things, you'll find that men's shoes are incredibly comfortable, and give you plenty of extra room around the toes. Even if you are not training for a marathon, you are likely to enjoy wearing these shoes when you are driving, shopping, or simply cleaning around the house. You are also likely to find that men's winter boots and galoshes will suit your needs and still be somewhat similar to designs made for women.

Unfortunately, if you work in a restaurant or occupy a high profile role at work, you may need to wear a pump. Depending on the time of year, you may be able to wear open toed shoes that will improve air circulation as well as avoid abrasions. In many cases, if you look at designs created by Magdesians or Daniblack, you may be able to find a narrower shoe that will still be well-fixed and stylish.

Chances are, if you are a nurse, you will want to have shoes that are durable as well as capable of protecting your feet from injury. While you may not need to wear steel toed boots, you may want to look at other types of outdoor shoes. These may include hiking shoes, as well as ones worn by athletes. In many cases, you will find that these shoes are cut wider as a matter of course.

Irregardless of whether you are a man or a woman, the last thing you will want to do is wear uncomfortable slippers. Unfortunately, women's slippers are often every bit as uncomfortable as shoes worn for daytime activities. That said, if you know how to knit or crochet, you can save yourself some money on extra wide slippers. At the same time, you will be able to select from many different colors and textures of yarn. You may even want to purchase some flannel, or a different type of fabric to line your new slippers.

If you live in California, or a highly populated city, chances are you will be able to find all kinds of shoes. That said, if you live in a rural area, you may not have many opportunities to look for shoes that will fit properly. In many cases, you can still find local alternatives to women's wide shoes. At the very least, if these options do not suit your needs, you can try to look what is available online.

Where would I find an over the door shoe organizer for large shoes?

I wear a men's size US 12 or US 13. One of the problems with over the door shoe organizers is that they don't hold large size shoes well. Does anyone have any recommendations for an over the door shoe organizer for large shoes? I would prefer something that was canvas.

Thanks.

im a size twelve and was in the same situation until i walked into a car accessories shop and saw a black nylon car organizer with 12 pouches that was designed to hang over the drivers seat, each pouch was the same size and took my shoes perfectly,as this was designed to hang with velcro i cut the straps off and inserted a wire coat hanger(black to match) and job done,

Yes, Walmart, my husband is a 13 or 13 1/2 and we got a metal one, where the "hook or clip" - shoe insert anyway, goes inside the shoe, and the heals face outward, not a canvas bag type thing. It works for us.

I know exactly what you are talking about.

What color shoes would look good with a black and white dress?

i know black and white match with everything, and most people will say wear either black or white shoes, but i want the shoes to make the outfit. my dress has a white bow at the top and the rest is black, any suggestions?

I'd say red. Red makes black and white less neutral and will give you an extra "pop" when someone looks at you.

I work at a food store, i walk around all day. And even after 4 hours shifts my feet are killing me. I'm working a 8 hours shift next week and i need some comfortable shoes to be able to be ok. I've been wearing TUKs which aren't walking shoes, but those are the only ones i have that are all black. Which shoes aren't really hard at the bottom. Should i try jelly things?

And are Vans comfortable? By the way they have to be all black.

What can I purchase to keep my shoes from getting a crease?

My friend has some things in her shoes to stop her shoes from getting a crease. She says you just insert them inside the shoe and they stay in place; keeping the shoes from creasing. What are the name of these things? Or what can I buy to permanantly go inside my shoes to keep them from creasing????? Where can I buy them from?

How to tell the difference between running and walking shoes?

i need someone to tell me the difference between walking shoes and running shoes so i dont get walking shoes, ineed running shoes but i dont know which ines there are because walking and running shoes both look the same to me. P.S. is it trie if any running shoes are below 80$ are they cr a*?

Running shoes have more cushion on the bottom of the shoe and have different heel shapes.

You can easily find great running shoes for under $80 if you know where to look.

try this

http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/product/product.jsp?id=ASW1230&prfc=8&sc=CX180009&PartnerName=Froogle

or this

http://yhst-50307495481249.stores.yahoo.net/mens-asics-gel-gt-2130-running-.html

even this

http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail.cfm?model_nbr=76346&sku=7040192&SID=8032&inceptor=1&cm_mmc=SEO-_-Feeds-_-Froogle-_-null

The big difference is the walking shoes, heels are not square or flat, because walkers land heel first, and roll onto the foot.

The running shoes are usually flat on the back of the shoe, that is square and not rounded up.

You can find many quality shoes for under $80.

What type of leather shoes for mcdonalds?

What color shoes is best to wear with an ivory wedding dress?

How do you remove shoe sole marks from shoes?

How long until new shoes at Target are marked down for clearance?

I saw some great-looking shoes at Target, but I don't want to pay $40 right now for what I know is a rather low-quality pair of shoes. How much time do Target shoes stay at "new" prices before they're marked down for clearance sales?

If they aren't clearance already, they probably won't be going clearance. The department re-sets in a couple weeks. Everything that will go clearance, already is clearance.

What are the best running running shoes on the market?

What color shoes do you wear with a gray skirt with thin white and blue pinstripes?

What color shoes are best for a winter formal?

What shoes for guys can you wear to work if you work for abercrombie?

I just got a job at abercrombie and they said skating shoes are inappropriate... What shoes are allowed?

You can wear the plain white Converse shoes, otherwise you must wear Abercrombie Flip Flops, you can just bring them in a bag and change your shoes to flip flops while working in the store...most people do that and change back to your shoes when your shift is over.

Good Luck with the job!

What shoes do you recommend for those with plantar fasciitis?

If you have shoes that don't have arch than buy

arch soles to help your feet.

high heels

What pair of shoes go well with slim/straight jeans for a guy?

How can I organize my shoes outside of my closet?
