What color shoes are best for a winter formal?

What color shoe is most popular for a winter formal? It is a strappy high heel sandal. It comes in black, silver, or light gold (not a true gold, very light). I want to buy the shoes then buy my dress. I like the metallics. Can silver or the light gld go with a lot of other colors? Are they youthful? I don't want to look like a granny.

you should go with the silver, that color will go with the most largest range of different clothes out of the 3 colors. Don't worry about what other people think about the shoe, I'm sure if you liked it then some one else your age will too.

I'd go with the silver or gold. If you get black shoes, and then decide on a pastel or white dress, they aren't going to look right. With the silver or gold, pretty much any color dress you pick will look good. Have a great time at your formal?

I say stick with the silver, it will go with more colors than the gold.

Silver shoes look best with cool colors like blues, greens, lavender. Gold toned shoes go best with warm colors like reds, browns, oranges. Metallics are in style for the fall and I'm sure through winter. You'll only look like a granny if you choose chunky low heels.
