Typically washing shoes is not a great idea. The only shoes that are considered semi safe to wash in a machine are tennis shoesor sneakers. Even then you have to be careful. When washing tennis shoes there isn't really anything special you have to do. Remove the laces apply bleach if needed, spray or those bleach pens, and put them in the washer on cold. You shouldn't put your shoes in the washer. Use a magic eraser on the shoe, and put the laces in some nylons, tye a knot and run them through the washer. Also shoes stores sell special products to clean shoes.

Depending on if they're like gym shoes you could wash them in the washing machine on cold with detergent
