Woman charged in shoe theft
A Myrtle Beach woman was charged with shoplifting after she went to Wal-Mart with a pair of shoes and tried to exchange them for two other pairs of shoes and a pair of socks without paying, a police report showed.
Diana Lynn Dial, 44, of 3926 E. Glades Lane, was charged with shoplifting under $1,000 after police were called at 6 p.m. Monday to the store on Seaboard Street, police said. Store officials told police that Dial came to the store with a pair of shoes and receipt and then went to the shoe department.
Police said Dial took two pairs of shoes and went to the men’s department of the store where she left the shoes she brought into the store and put the other two pairs of shoes and a pair of socks in the bag, the report showed.
Store security stopped Dial as she tried to leave the store, the report showed.
